Compress images

Make JPG, PNG and WebP files smaller without visible quality loss. Everything runs in your browser — photos never leave your device.

Files never leave your device

    How it works

    1. Drop photos or choose them from your device.
    2. Move the quality slider: 70–80 keeps photos sharp and much lighter.
    3. Download each file or all at once in a ZIP.

    Why compress photos?

Modern phone cameras produce photos of 3–8 MB. That’s too heavy for email attachments, online forms with size limits, websites and messengers on slow internet. Compression removes data the eye doesn’t see and makes files several times lighter.

    Which quality to choose

Quality 75–85 is the sweet spot for photos: the difference from the original is hard to see, while the file is 2–5 times smaller. Go down to 60 when size matters more than detail. For screenshots, choose WebP: it keeps text sharp and saves the most space.

    Questions

How much smaller will my photo get?

Phone photos often shrink by half or more at quality 70–80. Screenshots and graphics shrink the most when saved as WebP.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser with JavaScript, so your files are never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.

Is it free? Are there limits?

It’s free, with no sign-up and no watermarks. The only limit is your device’s memory: very large files can take a little longer on a phone.
