Word to PDF

Turn a Word document (DOCX) into PDF in your browser. Text, headings, lists, tables and images are kept, and the file is never uploaded.

Files never leave your device

    How it works

    1. Add a .docx file.
    2. Press “Save as PDF” next to the file.
    3. In the print window choose “Save as PDF” as the printer and save.

    Why send documents as PDF

PDF looks the same on any device: fonts, margins and pages don’t shift, and the text can’t be changed by accident. That’s why résumés, applications, contracts and coursework are usually sent as PDF.

    What is kept

Text, headings, bold and italic, lists, tables and pictures are transferred. Very complex layouts — text boxes, columns, headers and footers — may come out simpler, so check the preview in the print window before saving.

    Questions

Why does a print window open?

Your browser builds the PDF itself through its print dialog. Choose “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF”) as the printer. On iPhone, tap Share → Save to Files.

    Are old .doc files supported?

Only .docx. Open an old .doc in Word or LibreOffice and save it as .docx first.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser with JavaScript, so your files are never sent anywhere. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.

Is it free? Are there limits?

It’s free, with no sign-up and no watermarks. The only limit is your device’s memory: very large files can take a little longer on a phone.
